Garbeau’s is performing the Sacramento debut of the musical comedy, “I Love You Because” and according to Ferreira, Garbeau’s patrons are describing this show as “Fun,” “Refreshing,” “Clever,” and “New.” It is being described as a modern take on “Pride and Prejudice;” Jane Austin meets “Sex in the City” and “Friends.” Garbeau’s reports that “I Love You Because” is the perfect show for a date night, and why not come for dinner too? Rancho Cordova Youth Soccer Sign Ups Going on Now

The days of spring of nearly upon and the last couple weekends have seen bustling parks and perfect weather. If your children are starting to plan their summer activities, remind them that Rancho Cordova has plenty to offer, including a youth soccer league. The Rancho Cordova Youth Soccer Club caters to youth ages 4 through 18, primarily in the Rancho Cordova area, though all children are welcome.

Sex Offenders Within Law: Still Too Close to Schools?

Several registered sex offenders live in the Rancho Cordova area; some live very near local schools and parks, but no laws are being broken. Registrants are not breaking any laws despite the fact that some live in the very near vicinity of elementary or middle schools.

Attorney General Jerry Brown’s office said that within accordance with Jessica’s Law, registrants are required to live no closer than 200 yards to a school or park, but that there is some question as to exceptions within these restrictions.

Career Fair For Military Veterans and Spouses

The military-to-civilian recruiting firm RecruitMilitary will present a free hiring event for job seekers who have military backgrounds in the Sacramento area on Thursday, March 26. This event, the RecruitMilitary Career Fair, will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the University of Phoenix – Rancho Cordova Learning Center. RecruitMilitary urges all job seekers who have military backgrounds to attend–veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, and military spouses.
