City Staff Sponsors Cancer Fundraiser – Food and Gifts

Relay for Life

A Luncheon Bazaar featuring jewelry, gifts and novelties, toys, and food will be staged in the parking lot in front of the Rancho Cordova City Hall on Friday, September 10th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A fundraiser for the Rancho Cordova Relay for Life, the Bazaar is being sponsored by City staff members and all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. City Hall is located at 2729 Prospect Park Drive.

Synthia A. Smith, a business executive, has been appointed to the Rancho Cordova Planning Commission by City Council Member Linda Budge. Smith fills the vacancy on the Commission that was created when Thomas Moe moved from the area. The term expires in December.

Wayne Hart is a Program Manager for Blue Shield of California. Prior to this position he worked as a Project Manager for VSP in Rancho Cordova for 15 years. He’s a 10 year resident of the City of Rancho Cordova and lives in the Stonecreek neighborhood with his wife Stacy and 9 month old son Hayden. Wayne and his wife are expecting another child soon.

Paul Tassinari, 44 years old, is a longtime resident of the Rancho Cordova area. He was born at Mather Air Force Base and raised in Rancho Cordova. His father was a 24 year veteran of the Air Force who served at Mather Field. Paul and his wife Rohana and two sons Adam and Amir live in the Meadows neighborhood North of Folsom Blvd.

The next Neighborhood Walk with Rancho Cordova Mayor Ken Cooley is on Saturday, July 24th. The starting point will be Navigator Elementary School that is located at 10679 Bear Hollow Drive. Light refreshments will be served at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will start at 9 a.m.

Rancho Cordova Business Walk to Focus on New Annexed Area

Staff from the City of Rancho Cordova will partner with the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce and the Sacramento Metro Chamber on a Business Walk on Friday, July 23rd.

The entourage will visit more than 120 Rancho Cordova businesses and ask three questions: how’s business, what do you like about doing business here, and what can be improved?

Buildout of the Project would be split into five phases and is anticipated to occur over a 25- to 30-year period. The Project provides for construction of approximately 11,601 residential dwelling units in three residential land use classifications on 1,872.5 acres.
