City Staff Wins Local Volunteer Award

City of Rancho Cordova employees were the recipients of the 2009 Outstanding Public Service Award that was presented at the recent Cordova Community Council’s Mardi Gras Party and Awards Ceremony. For the 10th year, the Cordova Community Council recognized outstanding volunteers in several categories for their public service contributions to the Rancho Cordova community.

Crime In Rancho Cordova Continues Downward Trend

The Rancho Cordova Police Department (RCPD) is pleased to announce a significant decline in crime despite a substantial increase in population. When compared to 2007, 2008 crime data indicates a reduction in violent crimes by almost 14% and a decrease in property crimes by 25%.
