Pet of the Week

Jan 1st, 2009 | By Michelle Ventress | Category: Featured, Pets

I’m a white and brown tabby cat and I’m only 6 months old. My best feature is my lovable personality but the first thing you will notice about me is my cute, white fuzzy ears with small tufts of fur poking out of them. I love to play and still have a lot of my kitten characteristics – I’m curious, playful and very cute.

Pet of the Week- Jazzy

Dec 23rd, 2008 | By Michelle Ventress | Category: Pets

My name is Jazzy and I’m a spunky 2-year-old girl looking for a loving and fun family that I can stay with forever. This might be the best time for you to adopt me because I could help around the house for the holidays by entertaining guests. I also love going on walks or runs, so when the holidays are over, and you are trying to get in shape for the New Year, I will exercise with you and be your jogging buddy.

Pet of the Week- Jibby

Dec 17th, 2008 | By Michelle Ventress | Category: Pets

My name is Jibby, and I’m a Labrador retriever, which makes me one of the most popular breeds for a family dog in the United States, but I don’t have a home. I’m 4-years-old, neutered and ready to home with you today. I have lots of energy to burn so if you want to throw the ball for me, take me to the park or go for a run I would love to meet you. I’ve heard volunteers at the shelter talking about me and they all say I’m very well mannered but not well trained; I think that means I’m naturally smart and well behaved but I’ve never had an owner that tried teaching me anything.

Pet of the Week

Dec 11th, 2008 | By Michelle Ventress | Category: Featured, Pets

Loveable animals come in all shapes and sizes. There is one large cat at the shelter that isn’t over weight; he just has more to love. He may be a big boy but he has a soft gentle personality like a kitten. This 2 year old gray and white male doesn’t have a name. He was found as a stray and needs a home and a good name.

Pet of the Week- Gus

Dec 5th, 2008 | By Michelle Ventress | Category: Pets

Gus is a young gentleman with lots of personality. He has short soft fur with a black and white tuxedo pattern and a unique hook at the end of his tail. When Gus arrived at the LAPCATS adoption center, a non-profit support group of the County shelter, he came out of his carrier purring and began exploring his new surroundings with curiosity.
