The following police reports were filed between 02/10/2010 and 02/16/2010:

  • Ten vehicle thefts and 15 thefts from vehicles were reported during the week.
  • 02/10/10:
    • Four theft incidents were reported – one identity theft incident on the 6000 block of Centurion Circle, one identity theft incident on the 7900 block of Oak Avenue, one bicycle theft on the 7900 block of Larwin Drive and one shoplifting incident at the Sunrise Mall.
    • Two breaking and entering incidents were reported – one residential burglary on the 8000 block of Ramblewood Way and one burglary on the 7900 block of Madison Avenue.
    • One simple assault was reported on the 6900 block of Franela Way
  • 02/11/10:
    • Five theft incidents were reported – one theft incident on the 7000 block of Coachman Way, one theft from a building on the 6200 block of Sunrise Boulevard, one fraud incident on the 8000 block of Poulson Street, one shoplifting incident at the Sunrise Mall and one theft from a building on the 6100 block of Sunrise Vista Drive.
    • One simple assault was reported on the 8000 block of Sunrise Boulevard.
    • Two breaking and entering incidents were reported – one possession of burglary tools incident was reported at Auburn Boulevard and Old Auburn Road and one commercial burglary on the 7500 block of Auburn Boulevard.
  • 02/12/10:
    • Nine theft incidents were reported – one theft incident on the 6100 block of Burntwood Way, two shoplifting incidents on the 7800 block of Lichen Drive, one shoplifting incident on the 7000 block of Auburn Boulevard, one identity theft incident on the 7500 block of Kalamazoo Drive, three shoplifting incidents at the Sunrise Mall and one bicycle theft on the 5800 block of Sunrise Vista Drive.
    • One simple assault was reported on the 7800 block of Sayonara Drive.
  • 02/13/10:
    • Three theft incidents were reported—one shoplifting incident on the 7800 block of Lichen Drive, one theft incident on the 6000 block of Sunrise Boulevard and one shoplifting incident at the Sunrise Mall.
    • One residential burglary was reported on the 6100 block of Hilltree Avenue.
    • Two assaults were reported – one assault with a deadly weapon on the 6700 block of Auburn Boulevard and one simple assault on the 6300 block of Tupelo Drive.
  • 02/14/10:
    • Four theft incidents were reported – one theft incident on the 6400 block of Tupelo Drive, one theft incident on the 6800 block of Auburn Boulevard, one identity theft incident on the 6900 block of Pippin Way and one theft incident on the 5500 block of Cedar Creek Way.
    • A strong-arm robbery was reported at San Juan Avenue and Greenback Lane.
    • Two assaults were reported – one simple assault on the 7000 block of Coachman Way and one simple assault on the 5400 block of Bartig Way.
  • 02/15/10:
    • Two breaking and entering incidents were reported – one residential burglary on the 6900 block of Trailride Way and one commercial burglary at the Sunrise Mall.
    • Two theft incidents were reported – one theft from a building on the 7200 block of Starflower Drive and one pickpocketing incident on the 7800 block of Greenback Lane.
    • Two assaults were reported – one aggravated assault on the 7600 block of San Simeon Drive and one aggravated assault on the 7800 block of Sayonara Drive.
  • 02/16/10:
    • Three theft incidents were reported – one theft incident on the 6300 block of Fountain Square Drive, one fraud incident on the 6900 block of Sunrise Boulevard and one forgery incident on the 8200 block of Longden Circle.
    • Two breaking and entering incidents were reported – one commercial burglary on the 7700 block of Greenback Lane and one residential burglary on the 6600 block of Clear Creek Court.
    • Two theft incidents were reported – one simple assault on the 7400 block of Antelope Road and one aggravated assault on the 7100 block of La Salida Del Sol Lane.

Citrus Heights Fire Burns Home, Causes Traffic Problems

A house fire woke many neighbors in a Citrus Heights neighborhood early Tuesday morning. The house, located across from Rusch Park at Antelope Road and Cologne Lane is vacant. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Citrus Heights Man Sentenced to 19 Years for Sex Trafficking

A man convicted of the sex trafficking of children by force, fraud or coercion was sentenced to 19 years in prison and was ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution, U.S. District Attorney Benjamin Wagner said on Friday.

Female Body Found in Citrus Heights Park

The body of a teenage girl has been found in a Citrus Heights Park. Police are calling the death suspicious. At 1:30 a.m. Friday morning, dispatch received a call from a parent reporting their 17 year old daughter was missing.

Citrus Heights Man Charged With Animal Cruelty
