You heard it here first. Yes, the Rancho Cordova Post gets the scoop. That’s because along with Citrus Heights, Elk Grove and Folsom, you have inspired and encouraged us through the Local Area Formation Commission (LAFCo) process. You paved the way with your repeated efforts to get cityhood to a vote of the people. Because of you, a process we started more than two years ago will take the next step towards cityhood.

Wednesday, February 9, 2010, the Arden Arcade Incorporation Committee will give LAFCo the final $25,000 they require to complete cityhood studies.

Nearly two and a half years ago, proponents of cityhood for Arden Arcade turned our petitions in to LAFCo to be certified and approved as a petition to begin the process of incorporation. LAFCo may have changed the rules on us unexpectedly, but each time we needed help, you stepped up financially, you gave us good advice and were our role models and cheerleaders.
