It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

The holiday season is officially upon us. The decorations are out. The shopping has begun. And Christmas music is being piped into every building that accepts major credit cards. Rancho Cordova kicked off all things holiday with a fantastic Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday evening. Singers, dancers, and a hay ride completed the festive event. But if you find yourself humming “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and strategizing the most effective neighborhood caroling map, have no fear- there will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate the holiday season in Rancho.



Celebrate Some ‘Howl’iday Fun

The”Winter Woof Fest!” will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Cordova Recreation Park District (CRPD) Headquarters Building #1 at 2197 Chase Drive in Rancho Cordova. Because all dogs need to spend some quality time with Santa, and because it’s so darn cute,dogs can have their photo taken with Santa for $5. There will also be vendors and a silent auction as well as popcorn, coffee, hot chocolate, t-shirts, bandannas and bows for sale.



It’s a Holly Jolly Christmas

Rancho Cordova is starting off the holiday season on Thanksgiving weekend with festive music, delicious hot drinks, and even snow! The Cordova Community Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30 at Village Green Park at Capital Village, located at Zinfandel Drive and International. The fun for the whole family starts at 4:30 p.m. with the Christmas tree lighting at 6 p.m.



December Event to Bring Community Together

The premier winter wine tasting event, A Taste of December, will be held on Thursday, December 4 at the Rancho Cordova Marriott. The doors open at 6:30 and you can sample gourmet foods and local wines until 10 pm. This evening event is dedicated to building a strong community for families and youth and will feature live music and entertainment, a silent auction and delicious tastings from the finest local restaurants and wineries.



State of the City Celebration

What time could be better to learn more about our local economy and our great city than right after elections? Community members will get that chance on Friday, November 7th when the first Rancho Cordova State of the City address is held. Everyone is invited to attend and tickets to the events can be purchased ahead of time here.
