American River Bankshares Could See Possible Treasury Investment

AIG. Citigroup. Some business names send a chill down the collective spine of the American public. In such a time of uncertainty for businesses, especially banks the Federal government is stepping in to do what they think is best. Recently, the United States Treasury has approved a $6 million investment in Rancho Cordova’s American River Bankshares. This comes as part of the government’s plan to spur lending and revive the economy.



Nominate Today For The Best in Business Award

The city of Rancho Cordova is now accepting nominations for the December Best in Business Awards. These awards recognize local businesses that make a difference in our community. Two different companies will be selected for nomination: one small business, the Neighborhood Pioneer and one larger business, the Exceptional Enterprise. The businesses will be honored at the December 15th, 2008 City Council meeting.



Delta Dental Earns Sustainable Business Certification

Delta Dental of California is one of a few businesses that will be awarded a Sustainable Business Certification. The Sacramento Sustainable Business program is overseen by the Sacramento Business Environmental Research Center, certifies businesses that create and maintain measures in at least one of five different areas; including: energy conservation, solid waste reduction, green building, water conservation, and pollution prevention. Only six other Rancho Cordova companies are certified.



ThermoGenesis Suffers $2.7 Million Loss

Replacement Plans Still On for Rancho Target
