A local community organization is partnering with a Rubio’s in Rancho Cordova to raise money for programs for local families. Have dinner at Rubios, located on the corner of Zinfandel and International on Thursday, October 28th and 20% of the sale will benefit the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership.

The Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce and Cordova Community Council are bringing Assembly and Senate candidates to you. Here is your chance to meet the candidates in person on Friday, October 15 from 11:30 to 1:00 in the American River Room at Rancho Cordova City Hall.

Advance purchase tickets will be sold for less that tickets at the carnival, so be sure to stop by Cordova Community Council at the Rancho Cordova City Hall to purchase your tickets before Thursday.
The carnival will run from Thursday, October 14th from 4 p.m. till 10 p.m. and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon till 10 p.m. You can catch all the action at Zinfandel Square near Folsom Blvd. and Olson Drive (by the Kohl’s parking lot).
Whether your family already loves Bounce U or you’d like to try something new, the event tonight is a great way to practice some bouncing. Families have three sessions to choose from: 4:30-6:00, 6:00-7:30, and 7:30-9:00. Children are $7 each, unless they are under two years old, then they are free with the purchase of another child’s admission. Parents’ admission is free. All of the proceeds will benefit Triad Family Services. Dining options during the event include a hot dog bar and baked goods organized by Triad.
Weekend activities include Haunted Hagan, the Grand Re-opening of Crocker Art Museum and River Friendly Landscaping.
The fourth in a series of five ice cream parties will be hosted by the City of Rancho Cordova on Saturday, October 2nd at the Mills Middle School track area, 10439 Coloma Road ,from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or while quantities last. Complimentary ice cream, frozen treats, and commemorative bookmarks will be handed out by Rancho Cordova staff to celebrate the City’s 2010 All-America City award.
The Rancho Cordova Police Department and will be hosting a Jail and Bail fundraiser on Friday with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. Community members have been “arrested” by the RCPD and have to make bail to be released. If you’d like to donate to the fundraiser and “bail out” a community member, including myself, click here. Any amount is appreciated! The Rancho Cordova Relay for Life will be held on Saturday to Sunday.
