Assemblywoman Alyson Huber Receives ‘Legislator of the Year’ Award from Rural Counties

The Regional Council of Rural Counties (RCRC) announced that it has selected Assemblywoman Alyson Huber as one of two recipients for the annual “Patti Mattingly Award” for 2010. The Patti Mattingly Award is given to a policymaker that has demonstrated leadership on rural issues and an understanding of the unique challenges that rural communities face.

Asm. Huber Urges Students to Apply for CalGrants by March 2nd Deadline

Assemblymember Alyson Huber, a past Cal Grant recipient, wants to remind students and parents that March 2nd is the deadline to apply for CalGrants. Cal Grants, a need-based financial aid program, has been a big part of making college affordable for many California families. To assist students with applying for CalGrants and other financial aid, Assemblymember Huber also announced Cash for College workshops being held in January and February around the Sacramento region.
