Weekend Activities Include Wet N’ Woofy and Yolo County Fair

Does Fido enjoy a dip in the pool? For this Saturday only, you can bring your dog out for a swim at Cordova Recreation and Park District’s “Wet n’ Woofy” at Lincoln Village pool. Only one dog per person will be allowed in and children ages 8-17 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 8 will not be allowed in the pool area. Small dogs under 20 pounds and senior dogs are welcome to swim from 10:00-11:30 and medium and large dogs are welcome to swim from noon to 1:30. Lincoln Village Pool is located at 348- Routier Road, Sacramento. For more information including prices, or to preregister, visit www.crpd.com or call 916-362-1841.
The Yolo County Fair will be going on all weekend and admission is free! A carnival, demolition derby, motocross show, livestock shows, and an olive oil contest are all part of the fun. For more information and directions, please see the official Yolo County Fair website. Parking is $5.

Enjoy a free concert in Rusch Park, Citrus Heights on Sunday, August 22. The Blue Blazes will be performing and the concert will run from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Remember to bring blankets or chairs as the concert is outdoors. Rusch park is located at 7801 Auburn Blvd.

    we get the weekend activities after they have happened. Can we get them before hand so we can go to these thing? Would be nice.

    • Hi Kim,

      Yes, you’re receiving our weekly recap email I presume which is sent on Thursdays and recaps the last 20 stories from the previous week. One option could be to sign up for our daily email alerts and receive the weekend preview on Thursdays which is the day we publish it. It’s generally published in the afternoon after the weekly recap email is sent in the morning which is why you receive it a week late. Or you could visit the site Thursday afternoon or Friday morning and read it online or even in our iPhone app. Hope this helps.
