Cats and Kittens of All Types Looking for Permanent Homes

The Sacramento County Animal Shelter is hosting its 4th annual “Kitty Palooza” feline adopt-a-thon event on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22 from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Animal Shelter at 3839 Bradshaw Road. The shelter is inundated and this year; almost 200 cats and kittens will be available for adoption for a reduced rate of $40 for kittens, and cats over one year of age are free, with a donation appreciated.

“We have many fantastic cats and kittens that are looking for good homes, and by offering these adoption specials, we hope get as many cats and kittens placed into loving homes as possible,” said Carl Simpson, Interim Director of Animal Care and Regulation. “Any of the kittens and cats available at “Kitty Palooza” would make a welcome addition to a special family.”

All cats and kittens available for adoption will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and come with a one-year license. This free event

will also feature a humane education table, face-painting for kids, baked goods, and prize drawings. Volunteers and Animal Care staff will also be on hand to help adopters’ find the perfect cat or kitten to take home.
