Weekend Events Include Movie in the Park and Hot Rod Cruising
The weather this weekend is supposed to be about as close to perfect at we can get. Take the opportunity to enjoy the cool evening breeze with the family watching a movie in the park or head to downtown Sacramento to watch the 2nd Annual CAM Car Cruise.
“Over the Hedge” will be playing in Rosemont Park on Saturday. The family friendly movie is rated PG and will play at dark. The event is completely free to the community, but children must be accompanied by a parent. Remember to pack the snacks and bring blankets and lawn chairs for optimum comfort.
Whether you are a hot rod fan or just like shiny cars, be sure to stop by downtown or midtown Sacramento on Saturday at 5:00 to celebrate the American summertime tradition of hot rod cruising. This year there will be over 200 cars from all different eras and manufacturers to please even the biggest hot rod enthusiast.
On Friday the 30th, moms and kids are invited to check out Hot Moms, Cool Kids, a fashion fundraiser for the Sacramento Children’s Museum. The fashion show will benefit the museum and will be held at 33rd Street Bistro, located at 3301 Folsom Blvd. Tickets are $10 and include food, wine tasting and the fashion show.
