Volunteers Needed for 5th Annual Taste of December

The 5th Annual A Taste of December will be held on December 16th 2010 from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova. This evening event in December is dedicated to building a strong community for families and youth.

Our goal for this year’s event is to; raise awareness of the needs and desires of the communities we serve; provide an opportunity for like-minded community leaders and socially conscious businesses to foster support, and raise money to support the work and efforts of Folsom Cordova Community Partnership. The event will feature live music and entertainment, a spectacular silent-auction and delectable tastings from the finest local restaurants and wineries.

If you are a passionate and committed individual and want to make a lasting difference for children and families in Rancho Cordova and Folsom, The Folsom Cordova Community Partnership would like your help.

Do you have experience in coordinating events? Do you enjoy the challenges that come with event planning? Do you know people or know people who know people in our community? Do you love fundraising or soliciting sponsorships? Do you love helping behind the scenes with Fundraising/Friend-Raising/Community Building
Events. If you do we would like to hear from you.

The A Taste of December Event Planning Committee is looking volunteers to help in planning this year’s event. We need help in any of the following sub-committees:

1. Sponsorship- Helping with Soliciting sponsors
2. Vendors – Helping with Vendor sign-ups and documentation
3. Ticket Sales and Promotions- Helping with event publicity and ticket sales
4. Silent Auction- Helping with soliciting silent auction donations

The plan is to hold at least one monthly sub-committee meeting and a Bi-Monthly Event Planning Committee.
