Weekend Activities Include the Rancho Cordova Parade at the State Fair and Movies in Parks
There are few things better than a day filled with ice cream. Unless of course, the day also includes a trip to the zoo. You can also support Rancho Cordova at the state fair and take in a movie in while relaxing in a lawn chair at the park.
What could be better than a visiting the zoo while having your favorite ice cream? On Saturday, July 24th, the entire family can enjoy all you can eat cones and sundaes at the Sacramento Zoo. The Ice Cream Safari runs from 10 till 4 and a shuttle will run from various points in Land Park to the Sacramento Zoo. The Rancho Cordova Fury 14 All Star Girls All Star Softball Team is raising money to attend the ASA Nationals in Roseville. You can help support them by having your car washed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Chevron Station on Sunrise at Zinfandel Drive.
If you’re planning a trip to the state fair, remember to stay for the Rancho Cordova parade at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The parade will start on the eastern side of the Promenade and will feature up to 15 entries that represent the city.
