Neighborhood Search in Anatolia Results in One Arrest
The streets of Anatolia were busy with Rancho Cordova Police officers on Wednesday night. At 7:57 p.m. the Rancho Cordova Police Department received a phone call regarding suspicious activity at the southern end of the neighborhood that resulted in one arrest.
Ten people were reported in and around a vehicle on Pyxis Circle smoking marijuana. Several of the suspects ran, some carrying unidentified objects, when officers arrived, leading to a search through the neighborhood. Officers spent several hours searching with the help of a Sheriff’s Department helicopter.
Sgt. Pete James of the Rancho Cordova Police Department says that officers identified several of the suspects as having been involved in past burglaries of homes in Anatolia. At this point they do not believe the suspects were involved with any recent burglaries.
Officers did conduct probation searches on the suspects and one person, Tehki Santiago Bill, was arrested for theft and drug warrants.
This case is still under investigation.
