Volunteers Needed For California Capital Airshow

Have you been to the California Capital Airshow? Have you sat in a lawn chair at Mather Airport and watched pilots perform the most amazing aerobatics and impressive displays of speed, maneuverability, and size? Young and old, aviation fans and those who just enjoy a good, loud show will  appreciate the grandeur of the displays and performances.

This year, the airshow will be held on September 11 and 12th. The line up includes F-22 Raptors, P38 Lightning Strike, Smoke ‘n Thunder Jet Car, and much more. Please see the California Capital Airshow website for a full list of performers and displays.

You can be involved in the making the airshow a success this year. Volunteers are vital to insuring that the show goes smoothly and it’s a great chance to become more involved in the community, and you get some of the best seats in the house.

If you would like to get more information about what volunteer  positions are available, please attend the Volunteer Open House at Rancho Cordova City Hall, 2729 Prospect Park Drive,  on July 28 at 6 p.m. If you can’t make it to the volunteer meeting, you can sign up online on the California Capital Airshow website.
