Motorcyclist Dies During Street Race

On July 18, 2010, at 7:57 p.m., Rancho Cordova Police Department officers responded to the report of a collision between two motorcyclists in the area of Freestone Way and Edington Drive. Officers arrived and found a 19-year-old male lying in the street suffering from severe injuries. Paramedics arrived a short time later and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

When officers arrived there were approximately twenty motorcyclists who officers believe were involved in street racing activity. The area is an undeveloped residential neighborhood well known for both motorcycle, and car street-racing activity.

Investigators have learned the victim was racing a second

motorcyclist when the two collided causing the victim to lose control of his motorcycle and crash. The 20-year-old male rider of the second motorcycle, along with several witnesses, was detained for questioning. The RCPD Major Accident Investigation Team will attempt to determine what caused the two motorcyclists to collide. The team will forward their report to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office who will determine what charges, if any, will be filed in this case. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, and who did not talk to officers at the scene, is urged to call RCPD Traffic Unit detective Ron Brazell at (916) 875-9623.

Here is another fine example of “Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it” . Clearly this person was , 1. Looking for trouble. 2. Speeding. 3. Tresspassing on private property(the property is undeveloped and therefore still belongs solely to the developer). 4. Showing off to other lawbreakers, who, by the way, should be arrested and charged and have their motorcycles confiscated for breaking the Rancho Cordova street racing law. 5.He was probably hopped up on liquor or drugs. 6. He was an inexperienced rider.
Add all this up and …he got what he asked for.
The Rancho Cordova police are partially to blame. It is said they know of the goings on in this location. I have heard that up to 200 motorcycles…… that’s right , hundreds are there doing this illegal activity. One article I read said the “Skid marks have painted the asphalt black”.
Street racing in Rancho Cordova was made illegal for a reason. Here is a pretty good one.
Too bad those other racers can’t be rounded up and held accountable.

Let it be known – they were NOT racing. It was more of a meet up than anything. Roberta I hope your hateful soul finds what it deserves or that you learn to correct your ugly black heart before it’s too late.
