Cyclist Dies After Crash on Folsom Bike Trail

A bicyclist who was found injured on a Folsom bike trail has died. 71 year old James Cramer of Sacramento had been riding with two other bicyclists when, after about 10 miles, they noticed Cramer lagging behind. After turning around to check on him, they found him laying on the bike trail.

Officers found Cramer injured near a trail bridge near Empire Ranch Road and East Natoma Street late Tuesday morning. Cramer was taken to a hospital in Roseville where he died.

It is unclear how the Cramer crashed and his death is under investigation. If you have any information about the incident, please call Folsom Police at 355-7231.
