Volunteers Needed to Help Make the Rancho Cordova 4th of July Celebration a Success
The Rancho Cordova community needs your help. Every year volunteers make the 4th of July Celebration a success and provide the community with family friendly fun. From helping to execute the parade to manning the beer garden, volunteer help will be greatly appreciated. If you have a knack for organization or really love the idea of providing safety patrol and want to give back to your community while constantly smelling the sweet smell of funnel cake, we have the job for you.
The festivities will kick-off on Thursday, July 1st with a carnival which will last through Sunday. The parade will run along Coloma Road and begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3rd. Free concerts will entertain the crowds before the fireworks show which is scheduled on both Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:45. This year, the Rancho Cordova July 4th Committee believes the event will attract 20,000 guests.
Volunteers are still needed for event set-up, activity presentation, volunteer care, security patrol, event operations and much more. A meeting for volunteers will be held Tuesday, June 22 at 6 p.m. at Rancho Cordova City Hall, 2729 Prospect Park Drive.
