Rancho Cordova Crime Report: June 1 – June 8
The following crimes were reported in these Rancho Cordova neighborhoods:
North of Highway 50
- 6/2/10: Herman Jones, 22, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance on Terra Loma Drive. The suspect was contacted during an attempt for pick-up for his three active warrants, the police report said. Officers allegedly located heroin in his pants pocket during a search of his person.
- 6/6/10: A domestic violence incident was reported on the 2000 block of La Loma Drive. The suspect allegedly struck the victim numerous times with a closed fist and used T-shirts and a vacuum cord to whip the victim’s body.
- 6/7/10: Alejandro Aguayo, 23, was arrested on suspicion of battery of a police officer and vandalism on the 2700 block of Don Juan Drive. The suspect was contacted during a family disturbance call, but no crime was committed and the suspect voluntarily left. The suspect came back to the residence, the police report said, and he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest so he was taken into custody in the back seat of a police car. The suspect allegedly kicked out the back window of the police car and the glass struck a police officer, resulting in an abrasion on his forearm.
- 6/7/10: A robbery was reported on the 2900 block of Routier Road. Unknown suspects shoved the victim to the ground and kicked him in the side, leaving large bruises. The victim lost consciousness and woke up in the hospital eight days later. The victim said the suspects also took currency from his person.
South of Highway 50
- 6/7/10: A robbery was reported on the 3000 block of Laurelhurst Drive. The suspect allegedly pointed a rifle at the victim and demanded his car keys. The victim gave the suspect his car keys and the suspect fled on foot to an unknown location.
Rosemont/ La Riviera
- 6/1/10: A robbery was reported at 3643 Bradshaw Road. A suspect approached the victim and grabbed her purse. A second suspect then pointed a handgun at a witness when he tried to intervene, and the two suspects along with a third fled the area in a white Jeep Cherokee. The suspects are described as follows: Suspect 1- black male age 40-50, 5-feet-7-inches tall and 160 pounds with grey hair; Suspect 2- black male age 20-24, 5-feet-8-inches tall and 180 pounds; Suspect 3- black male age 18-19, 5-feet-7-inches tall and 200 pounds.
- 6/7/10: Two teenage males were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on the 9700 block of Jackson Road. The first suspect allegedly threw a large rock at two victims while they were in a moving vehicle. The rock entered the passenger compartment of the vehicle, narrowly missing the victim’s head. The second suspect threw a large rock at a third victim, striking him in the arm. The second suspect also swung a rock at the third victim’s head but missed.
- 6/7/10: A burglary was reported on the 3800 block of Westporter Drive. The victim observed two unknown suspects enter her residence through the front door, and a third victim acted as a lookout. All of the suspects fled prior to officers’ arrival.
Gold River/ Coloma Road
- 6/4/10: Tina Hodges, 34, was arrested on suspicion of forgery and probation violation at Chase Bank, located at 11200 Gold Express Drive. The suspect allegedly entered the bank with a stolen check and attempted to cash it. The suspect left the bank without cashing the check and left her identification behind.
- 6/5/10: A burglary was reported on Cervantes Drive. Unknown suspects entered the victim’s residence through an unlocked door and removed the victim’s purse and fled the scene.
- 6/6/10: James Milne, 30, and Shannon Souza, 31, were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property at Cordova High School, located at 2239 Chase Drive. The suspects allegedly had stolen property belonging to the school in their parked car sitting in their driveway. Tracking devices had been installed in the property prior to its removal from the school.
Mather Airport Area
- No crimes were reported in this area.
Anatolia
- No crimes were reported in this area.
Lincoln Village Area
- 6/3/10: A vandalism incident was reported at Fite Development Company, located at 3443 Routier Road. Unknown suspects smashed numerous windows and entered the property, damaging office equipment, walls and flooring. No one was seen or heard.
- 6/3/10: A robbery was reported at American River Bank located at 9750 Business Park Drive. The suspect entered the bank, allegedly pointed a chrome revolver at three bank tellers and demanded money from their cash drawers. The suspect fled the scene on a bank and was not caught. The suspect is described as a white male age 35-45, 5-feet-10-inches tall and 160 pounds with grey hair.
