Two More Area Businesses Targeted By Gun Thieves

Two more Sacramento area businesses were targeted by thieves who were after guns. Both businesses, a Big 5 Sporting Goods store on Sunrise Blvd. and Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights and a gun store in Rancho Cordova on Zinfandel Drive were targeted early Wednesday morning.

Guns were stolen from each location. The total number of weapons taken has not yet been released. No one was hurt in either incident and police are searching for four men in connection with the break ins.

Authorities believe the break ins are related to a similar burglary Tuesday morning involving the Big 5 Sporting Goods store located on Folsom Blvd. in Rancho Cordova. A stolen car was driven in to the front window of the business and left running. When police arrived, they discovered that a number of air rifles had been stolen.

Well, it’s a good thing that it’s nearly impossible to get a concealed weapons permit in Sacramento County, otherwise we’d have to worry about these guys carrying guns out in public! I’m sure they’re just collectors anyway though.
