Rancho Cordova House Fire Leaves Three People Treated for Smoke Inhalation

According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, a Rancho Cordova house was severely damaged Wednesday morning.

The fire occurred in a house on the 10100 block of De Soto Way just after 6 a.m. Authorities were concerned because crews were not able to locate one of the residents inside the house. The resident was eventually found at another location after the fire was put out.

The fire is believed to have been caused by clothing that was left on a lamp. Three people were treated for smoke inhalation. All are expected to make a full recovery.
