Rancho Cordova Crime Report: Jan. 26 – Feb. 2

The following police reports were filed between 01/26/2010 and 02/02/2010:

  • 01/27/10: A robbery was reported at Folsom Boulevard and Zinfandel Drive. The police report states two suspects approached the victim on foot and confronted him. One of the suspects then allegedly hit the victim in the face, causing him to fall on the ground, and continued to hit him. The victim’s wallet fell out of his pocket and the suspects took it and fled. The first suspect is described as a black male age 18-20, 5-feet-6-inches tall and 160 pounds; the second suspect is described as a black male age 17-23, 5-feet-11-inches tall and 180 pounds.
  • 01/27/09: A child endangerment report was taken on the 2600 block of Furmint Way. According to the police report, the victim is a 2-year-old child that was admitted to the hospital with severe burns to both feet, and the burns are consistent with scalding liquid  burns. The victim’s ankles showed a demarcation, the police report said, indicating that the victim was dunked into liquid. The burns were discovered by a babysitter after the victim was dropped off by the child’s mother.
  • 01/31/10: Eric Ring, 32, was arrested on suspicion of auto theft on the 10000 block of Coloma Road. The police report states the suspect allegedly stole the victim’s vehicle and a witness observed the suspect doing so. Police found the vehicle, and the pursuit lasted 17 miles and  reached speeds of 86 miles per hour. The alleged suspect eventually crashed into a guard rail and was taken to the Main Jail after being tasered.
  • 01/31/10: Venus Green, 37, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on the 3000 block of Data Drive. According to the police report, the victim allegedly grabbed the suspect by the arm and held her in place while striking her in the face several times, then allegedly threw her to the ground and stomped on her chest with his foot. The suspect then allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest, causing severe trauma and bleeding.
