Get your Groove On at a Local Dance Class

Looking for a fun way to keep that New Year’s exercise resolution? Cordova Recreation and Park District is here to help! We offer a wide range of dance classes for adults and children. Here is just a sampling:

Belly Dancing – Belly dance is one of the best ways to increase confidence, gain flexibility and balance, strengthen core muscles, de-stress, and have fun. Class is Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00 at the Cordova Community Center. Next session starts January 19th. The fee is $29. For ages 14 and up.

Country Line Dance – This class is designed for the beginner and advanced dancer. Class is held Mondays, 7:00-8:30 at the Cordova Community Center. Next session starts January 4th and the fee is only $18! For ages 14 and up.

Scottish Country Dance – Scottish Country Dance is the traditional ballroom dance of Scotland. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Cordova Community Center. The next session starts January 5th and the fee is $30. For ages 18 and up.

Zumba – Zumba is a high energy fusion of Latin and International rhythms and dance moves combined to create a calorie-burning cardio and toning workout like no other! Class is held Mondays from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the Cordova Community Center, fee is $30. Next session starts January 25th, for ages 18 and up.

Gymnastics- for ages 3 and up. Held at the Cordova Community Center on Tuesdays at 3:30 and 4:30. The next session starts on January 19th and the fee is $35.

Hip Hop Urban Dance- for ages 4 and a half and up. Held at the Mather Sports Center on Mondays at 6:30 and 7:30. Next session starts January 25th and the fee is $45.

Ballet – For all ages of children. Held at the Mather Sports Center on Fridays at various times. Next session starts January 19 and the fee is $35.
