A “Blood Gang” member will be serving 6 years and 5 months in prison for two robberies committed at the U.S. Bank, located at 10635 Folsom Boulevard, in late 2008 and early 2009, a statement from U.S. District Attorney Benjamin Wagner said today.
Michael Andrew Williams, 28, admitted in August that he had robbed the U.S. Bank on two occasions. The first robbery occurred on Dec. 24 2008, and Williams left the bank with approximately $1,174; the second robbery occurred on Jan. 21 2009, and Williams took approximately $501. Williams presented a demand note on both occasions that indicated he had a gun.
At the time of the robberies, Williams was under supervision from the state of California for battery, grand theft and drug offenses, the statement said. Judge Frank C. Damrell noted Williams’ “life of crime” during sentencing, and following Williams’ release, he will be under three years’ supervision and has been ordered to pay restitution.
