American River Grange Receives Community Support and Renovations

I would like to extend a special appreciation to those who assisted in the renovation of the American River Grange yard. We look forward to showcasing our new appearance at this year’s Rancho Cordova History Day “Look Back in Time” and hope that last year’s celebration of our 135th anniversary becomes a regular event.

A special thank you goes out to Eagle Scout, Marcus W. Adams, of Troop 601 of Rancho Cordova. Adams successfully installed the sprinkler system which is now vital to the maintanace of the Grange yard.

Located at 2720 Kilgore Road in Rancho Cordova, the American River Grange was originally organized on March 23, 1874 on Placerville Road at Fifteen Mile House by a group of about thirty people. That structure later burned down. The current located was dedicated on October 26, 1882.

Dedicated to promoting good citizenship and family values, members of the Grange constantly encourage community involvement and participation.
