Because of its small size and proximity to the American River parkway, Riverview is ideally suited for this kind of transition. But that would mean loss of ADA, average daily attendence, for the district. I think the most important part of David Sander's message is that it raises the possibility that the City and the Park District will REFUSE to occupy the abandoned schools, which will allow a charter school or private school to move into at least one of them.
