American River Parkway Report: Measure A Repair Projects to Begin
The Parkway will soon be using Measure A funds for repairs along the American River, the October 2009 American River Parkway Report said.
Measure A is a half-percent sales tax increase that took effect in 1989 and was renewed by voters in April 2009. Measure A is providing $1 million per year to the Parkway for the next thirty years, and Sacramento County Regional Parks already has 10 projects lined up through the end of 2010. The first is scheduled to start in December with repairs to the Harrington area trail.

- 5 Car burglaries reported — 1 at Hazel Access, 1 at William Pond, 1 at Sailor Bar and 2 at Upper Sunrise

- Fall on embankment at Sunrise
- Possible stroke at Sunrise
- Domestic violence at Woodlake
