Chase Bank Robbers’ Luck Runs Out on Friday the 13th
Two men who allegedly robbed Chase Bank on Nov. 13 found themselves penniless in jail, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department said today in a statement.
Jason Brown, 27, and Timothy Morris, 38, allegedly took money from the Chase branch located at 11200 Gold Express Way and fled the scene by car. A passerby alerted a deputy driving through the parking lot that the robbery was occurring, and the deputy allegedly witnessed the suspects fleeing. The deputy pursued the suspects until they reached a dead end at Buckeye Hill Court; Brown was arrested at the scene and Morris fled by foot, the statement said.
Morris allegedly entered a home on Tunnel Hill Way and threatened the homeowner inside, but he did not harm anyone. Morris allegedly attempted to flee when spotted by deputies, but he was detained and taken into custody.
Money and other evidence has been recovered by the Sheriff’s Department, and the suspects will face charges of robbery, burglary and false imprisonment.
