Rancho Cordova Historical Society Announces Board of Directors
The Rancho Cordova Historical Society, an organization that will work toward preserving Rancho Cordova’s history, now has its first board of directors.
The names of the ten chairs of the new board were announced in the Cordova Community Council newsletter released on Sunday. Craig Osborn, a board member for the Cordova Community Council, has been named president of the historical society, and Lynne Fulgham has been named vice president.
The historical society is a product of the founding class of Leadership Rancho Cordova. The class produced a historical display that is currently held at the Rancho Cordova City Hall, but the newly formed historical society is looking to establish a permanent location for their historical items.
The society has also appointed Janet Huddle as secretary; Marjorie Boulton as historian; andĀ Michael Clark, Daphne Gill, Merlin Mauk, Katherine Weedman-Cox and Joann (Cabral) Wilson as directors.
The society is currently looking for new members from areas surrounding Rancho Cordova, and their next meeting will be held on November 19th at 5 p.m. in the Community Board Room at City Hall. For more information, contact Lynne Fulgham atĀ (916) 369-7080.

Looking forward to what develops from the group over the next year.
I know the Grange has a ton of historical information to share. I was amazed at what a complete history of the area they have kept.
Craig Osborn is one of the good guys. Congratulations to him and everyone else.
I agree!!! Way to go Craig! Couldn’t happen to a better guy!!!!
I am interested in attending, but can we get a clarification on the next meeting date please? “Wednesday, Nov. 26″, Wednesday is the 25th and Thanksgiving Thursday is the 26th… will there be a meeting held this month or next?
Hi Karen,
The Historical Society normally meets on the third Thursday of the month. Due to the holiday, they will be meeting on the 19th this month. I’ve updated the article to include the changes. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Thank you Michelle.
I’m also excited to hear of this development! Especially that Katherine Weedman-Cox will be serving on the Board – I know that with her company Cox BW Lab, she is VERY passionate about preserving our history! Congratulations to all!
