Fire in La Riviera Destroys Playground Structure

A fire on late Saturday destroyed a neighborhood playground structure. The fire caused thousands of dollars of damage, reported the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

At 10:45 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a fire that had been set to a playground on Tiber Drive in the La Riviera neighborhood.

Fire officials say that three playground fires in the last month were set deliberately.

Anyone with any information about the fire set in La Riviera or any of the other playgrounds should call the Arson Tip Line at (916) 566-4320.
