Cordova Tennis Finishing Their Season Strong

The Cordova girl’s tennis team had a busy homecoming week as they racked up two wins against league opponents

On Wednesday afternoon at home the Lancers beat Vista del Lago, 8-1. Individual matches scored as follows:

Singles:

#1 Lee, CHS, def. Manvar, VL, 6-2/6-2

#2 Gulchenko, CHS, def. Bodeman, VL 6-7/6-4/6-2

#3 Saini, VL, def. S. Lee, CHS, 3-6/6-4/2-6

Thursday’s match against Galt was on the road where Cordova dominated the Warriors, 9-0.

With only two matches left, the Lancers look to round out their most successful season in three years with a high place finish in the Sierra Valley League. Tuesday they are at home against Union Mine, and then they head up to Oak Ridge on Thursday to take on the defending league champions. Good luck girls!
