Rancho Cordova Kiwanis Fundraising for Thanksgiving Baskets

The Rancho Cordova Kiwanis club is appealing to the business community to help out at this critical time of the year for many young families. The group is collecting donations and putting on fund raisers to raise money for over 200 food baskets for Thanksgiving.

Each of the baskets will cost $40, so any help from community businesses is vital. The Rancho Cordova Kiwanis meets every Thursday morning from 7am until 8am at the IHOP restaurant on the corner of Coloma and Sunrise. We welcome any one who would like to be more involved in the community to stop by on Thursday.

Rancho Cordova Kiwanis sponsor the Cordova High Key Club, a group of outstanding future leaders who welcome business role models. The Kiwanis also work within the community and can be found volunteering at many local events, including: Kids Day, the International Festival, the Relay for Life, and putting on the exciting Hometown July 4th parade.

Show your community spirit by joining us or by helping sponsor a Thanksgiving basket. The new board led by retired principal, Alan Withers, is ready to give back to our community. You can contact us at awithers30@yahoo.com or by calling 759-2871.
