Safetyville Turns 25

Children suffer the effects of preventable accidents every day. In 1984, Safetyville, USA opened and has been teaching children the skills necessary to reduce harmful and potentially fatal accidents. Located at 3909 Bradshaw Road, Safetyville is just around the corner for many Rancho Cordova families.

Since opening, over 125,000 children have benefitted from the Safetyville experience. Approximately 10,000 children visit every year. The 1/3 sized city is complete with sidewalks, traffic lights, crosswalks, police and fire departments, and businesses.

During safety tours, children learn pedestrian safety, playground safety, stranger danger, animal safety, electrical safety and more.  Health and fitness tours include information about having a healthy body, proper hand washing, dental hygiene, and burn awareness and prevention.
