Got E-Waste? CEAR, an E-Waste recycling business in Mather, will be holding a “Call 3 E-Waste Day” recycling event with KCRA 3 at Cal Expo this Friday, Sept. 18 from 4:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The event will be a win-win for the local community: CEAR will properly dispose of E-Waste for free, and they will be donating to several local charities as well.
“There are a lot of charitable organizations benefitting from it,” said Kristen DiLallo Sherrill, CEAR’s business development manager. “We’re going to be using Snowline Hospice and Susan G. Komen Foundation for labor, and we’re going to donate to their cause on behalf of their labor.”
CEAR will also be accepting donations for a non-profit organization in North Sacramento.
“We’re going to be collecting digital cameras for the Day in the Life Project, which is a non-profit organization to help underprivileged kids become artists and photographers,” said DiLallo Sherrill. “It provides them with digital cameras.”
Anyone wanting to attend can donate their items at Cal Expo, located at 1600 Exposition Boulevard in Sacramento, in parking lots C and D. KCRA has also posted a list of acceptable items for disposal, and all working digital cameras are welcome for donation.
