Woman and Unborn Child Killed in Car Accident on White Rock Road

A woman who was 8 months pregnant was killed in a Thursday morning traffic accident on White Rock Road.
A 2005 Chevrolet Impala, driven by the deceased woman’s best friend, was going eastbound at about 8:50 in the morning when the car drifted over the shoulder and struck a 2002 Ford Focus.

CHP said the Ford hit the right front passenger door of the Chevrolet, where the pregnant woman was sitting. The driver of the Chevrolet suffered broken ribs and other injuries, the CHP said. Two others were in the vehicle at the time of the accident; a 4 year old child in a car seat and the deceased woman’s mother were in the back seat. Both were taken to the hospital with minor pain complaints.

The group was planning a baby shower for this weekend and the deceased was engaged to be married.

At this point, CHP says there doesn’t appear to be any sign of drugs, alcohol, or reckless driving.

The driver of the Ford suffered back injuries and was also taken to a hospital.

Is there any information on any kind of funds being set up to help with funeral arrangements of financial support for the family?

  2. Heather, Not that I know of yet. If I do hear any information about arrangements for financial support, I’ll add that to the post.
