Sacramento Clean Tech Showcase to Highlight Clean Energy Technology, Companies and Careers

The Sacramento community has a rare opportunity to spend a full day gleaning resources and networking with some of the best in the clean tech business. Would you like to know how the Federal stimulus is growing clean technology companies in the area?

This and many other topics will be discussed by some of the most active in the industry.  The third annual Clean Tech Showcase will be held on Friday, October 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the University Union on the Sacramento State University campus.

Exhibits will include a variety of example from the clean tech field. Moss Adams, the City of Davis, PG&E, SMUD, and Morrison Foerster are just a small sampling of exhibitors. A thorough, ever-growing list demonstrates the influx of clean tech companies in the Sacramento area, many of which will be showcasing their products at the Clean Tech Showcase.

The Keynote Speaker for the 2009 event will be Daniel Sperling, author of “Two Billion Cars” and Professor of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science and Policy at the University of California, at Davis. Sperling is also the founding Director of the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Davis and the Acting Director of the UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center. He is widely known as a leading international expert on transportation technology assessment, energy and environmental aspects of transportation, and transportation policy.

The Clean Tech Showcase will give community members and business owners alike the opportunity to network with colleagues, business partners, policy makers, and potential customers. It will also be an invaluable resource to those in the business field, offering a chance to learn what new opportunities the Federal stimulus funding is creating for growing clean tech companies in the region, where the new clean tech jobs will exist, what regional initiatives will advance clean tech and sustainability and what fresh faces have emerged recently as local clean tech startups.

Tickets are still available for purchase on the Clean Tech Showcase website. Exhibitor space is also still available. For more information, please email info@cleanstart.org or call (916) 566-7171.
