Gold River Community Celebrates 1st Annual Picnic

The weather this weekend promises to bring the best of summer just in time for the first annual Gold River Community Picnic. Music groups, food, and drinks will add to the excitement of the day and local community groups will be showcasing their organizations.

Participating in events such as this are vital to the health of a community. On Saturday, August 22nd, spend a little time with your neighbors from 11 to 4 pm. at Gold River Park (on the corner of Coloma Rd and Gold Country Blvd).
Live music will include Little Sister of  South Lake Tahoe and the guitar stylings of Greg Jillson.  The event will be very family friendly with puppeteers and a balloon artist. There will be local artists, crafters and vendors showing off their wares, so be sure to check out the local talent while you’re there.
Buy a hamburger or hot dog, complete with chips and a drink for $5. The proceeds will go to the Gold River Rotary and will benefit the many projects the Rotary supports.
