Huber Appointed to Joint Committee on Emergency Management

One of the most important roles state government has is to ensure the health and safety of its citizens in times of public emergencies,” stated Assemblymember Huber.“With the recent H1N1 outbreak, we witnessed how a carefully coordinated response works to protect the public health. As a member of the committee, I will work to make certain California is prepared to respond to public emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement and other personnel.”

The committee’s charge is to examine California’s readiness to deal with natural and man-made disasters including pandemics, floods, fires, earthquakes and terrorist attacks.

Submitted by Assemblymember Huber.
