A 4th of July the Kids Can Love

The Rancho Cordova 4th of July Celebration offers something fun for everyone. Children play such a large role in our community, it makes sense that much of the Celebration is directed towards them. From pony rides to a Kids Stage, the entertainment is endless.  The Rancho Cordova 4th of July Celebration promises to be a safe, fun filled experience for kids of all ages.

The Live Steamershave been a part of Rancho Cordova history for years and families see them on an annual basis at the 4th of July Celebration each year. Enjoy train rides Friday and Saturday from noon till 6 p.m. Remember to bring the camera!

From 1 to 6 p.m. daily, the Kids Stage will be packed full of child-friendly entertainment. Headlining the Kids Stage again this year is Francie Dillon, winner of the Parents’ Choice Approval Award. Dillon’s shows will begin at 2:00 and 4:00 on Saturday.

Be sure to check out the Kids Zone for free crafts and games. Pony Rides will be offered from 1 to 6 p.m. daily and the petting barn will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. If you can punch out a clever Led Zeppelin solo on a miniature plastic guitar,  the Guitar Hero Competition could be just then venue to show off your skills. The competition will be held daily from 1 till 6 in the Kids Zone.

Traveling with the family can be a difficult task, especially when sunscreen, hats, water bottles, juice boxes, and snacks are all involved. Save yourself some time and patience by relying on RT to get you to and around Hagan Park. A complimentary trolley will loop through the park, transporting passengers to parking lots and other areas of the Celebration. RT will also be providing free shuttle service from the Mather Field Light Rail Station to the entrance of Hagan Park. For the light rail schedule, click here.
