Rancho Cordova 4th of July Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Every year residents look forward to the 4th of July Celebration that Rancho Cordova has come to be known for. From the parade to the local vendors to the carnival and fireworks, there is something for everyone to enjoy this weekend. This year, the 4th of July Celebration celebrates its 25th anniversary with a bang!

Each day offers something a little different. Be sure to check out the schedule before you head down to Hagan Park; make sure you see and do everything you want.  The carnival will be open from  11 a.m. through 11 p.m. daily. The food carts and display booths will be open from noon to 11 p.m. The paradeon Saturday will close Coloma Road to the public, so bring lawn chair and plenty of water if you plan on enjoying the parade before taking in all the Celebration has to offer at Hagan Park.

If a cool beer or frosty margarita is in your plans, be sure to visit the Beer Gardens. After 6 p.m. the party shifts to the concert venue and only adults will be admitted. This will be the only exception to the “no alcohol” rule that blankets Hagan Park.

Celebration go-ers are encouraged to relax and have fun while spending time in Hagan Park. Feel free to bring a picnic and enjoy the shade. Alcohol will not be permitted at any of the Rancho Cordova 4th of July Celebration events so please indulge only in the Beer Garden. Dogs are not allowed to join in the festivities, so unless your four-legged friend is a service dog, please leave them at home. Remember that the only fireworks allowed at the Celebration are those  brought by the professionals. Please do not bring fireworks of any kind to any of the 4th of July events.

As a grand finale to an already exciting day, look to the skies to enjoy not one, but two nights of fireworks. Beginning at 9:45 each night a fantastic fireworks display is sure to please.  Admission to the events are free, so grab a blanket and the family and head out to Hagan Park to celebrate Independence Day in Rancho Cordova.
