1st Annual City Softball Tournament for Rancho Cordova Teams Announced
Are you ready for some softball? This Saturday is the 1st Annual City Softball Tournament for Rancho Cordova. The friendly neighborhood all-ages softball tournament is sponsored by The Rancho Cordova Post in order to help build community and foster city pride.
The four team tournament will be on Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 9-12 pm at White Rock Park. Fellow Cordovans are invited to come and watch four teams duke it out to win the coveted tournament trophy and of course lay claim to community bragging rights.
Come watch as teams from Anatolia, Cordova Towne and City Hall play against each other in this family-oriented and laid-back environment. The goal is to play a little ‘ball and have fun while connecting with other neighbors. Free hot dogs and drinks will be provided and attendees are invited to bring a side dish to share with others.
You are invited to mingle and meet your neighbors, grill your own meat if you want, and have fun with residents throughout Rancho Cordova. The championship game will take place between 11-12pm. Please see www.cordovatowne.com for more details.

Thank you for your sponsorship. We are looking forward to this tournament. The prospect at playing on a makeshift field (no real diamond, but an open field) at an underutilized park is a powerful statement too because the parks in our city matter greatly.
Goooooooooooooooo Anatolia!!!
Goooooooooooo Cordova Towne!!!!
I would like to say another big THANKS to the Rancho Cordova Post for supporting our community! Saturday should be a great chance to have some fun and get to know one another.
GO Cordova Towne!!!
Community is what this is all about. The sharing of time and fun is awesome, but the time before is amazing as it has involved many areas of this great community. With the involvement of the city, CRPD, and neighborhoods, we see what a city is supposed to be. Thanks to all involved for this event. Here is hoping other neighborhoods come and cheer, and start planning to enter and win next year.
Clark is right. We don’t see specific neighborhoods getting together very often for events, so we have a unique opportunity here. This indeed is all about building a greater sense of connection together.
One neighborhood at a time… A big thank you to Ryan and Cordova Towne residents and Matt Roa for much of the planning and so much of the organizing of this fun event to make it possible. The focus is all about building community and neighbors getting to know their neighbors. It should be lots of fun. Can’t wait!
I am very excited for the BBQ and softball games. Thank you RC Post for the sponsorship of this event. Lets all have a good time and Go Cordova Towne!!!!
