SMUD Makes the IDG Computerworld Annual List of Best Places to Work in IT

For the second year in a row the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) has been selected as one of the top workplaces for information technology (IT) professionals in the nation.

SMUD ranked 83rd in the nation among all companies and 13th among small companies (2,500
employees or less). The recognition is part of the weekly IT publication’s 16th annual Best Places to
Work in IT.

Rankings are based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories
such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. For information about careers at
