Rancho Cordova police and Gold River deputies are now on different frequencies so they can't instantly respond to each other's emergencies. Because of budget cutbacks at the Sheriff's, BRECA, Rosemont and Mather are now pretty much dependent on RCPD for police protection, If Rosemont residents are unhappy with their RCPD response time, they can always switch to Sacramento police by annexing into the City of Sacramento.
