Just for the record the response to the call came from the Rancho Cordova police department, and the response was late because Gold River leadership as of November insisted on being part of the Sheriff’s patrol district based at Greenback. Rancho Cordova police and Gold River deputies are now on different frequencies so they can’t instantly respond to each other’s emergencies. Because of budget cutbacks at the Sheriff’s, BRECA, Rosemont and Mather are now pretty much dependent on RCPD for police protection, If Rosemont residents are unhappy with their RCPD response time, they can always switch to Sacramento police by annexing into the City of Sacramento.

Maybe BRECA, Rosemont and Mather should be annexed into Rancho Cordova.
