Free Tax Assistance From FLC Students

Working in collaboration with the Internal Revenue Service, students from Folsom Lake College’s Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) program will offer free income tax preparation assistance to the community. Community members can have help filing both their Federal and California state taxes electronically.

Tax preparation services will be held on Saturday, April 11 from 9am-4pm in Aspen Hall room FL1-8 on the college’s main Folsom campus (10 College Parkway). The services will be available to all taxpayers with incomes up to $50,000. All students, staff and neighbors are welcome to attend.

Please remember to bring your Social Security Card (taxpayer and dependents) and picture identification.

This is an IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site. Tax returns are prepared by Folsom Lake College students who are certified by IRS. For more information, contact SIFE Advisor Gerry Tryhane at 916-608-6796.

Tax preparation is free and a daily parking pass can be purchased for $1. Maps to the campus can be found at here- just click on “Maps” at the top of the home page and then “Main Folsom Campus.”

A member of the Los Rios Community College District, Folsom Lake College serves approximately 9,000 students at the main Folsom campus, El Dorado Center, and Rancho Cordova Center.
