Los Rios Community Colleges Receive $2 Million in Grant Money
The Los Rios Community College District has been awarded a U.S. Department of Labor grant of more than $2 million for job-training programs geared towards careers in energy. The $2,037,399 grant was one of six federal grants designated for community colleges and counties statewide to apply to various job-training programs, including construction, nanotechnology and transportation.
The Los Rios Community College District includes Sacramento City College, American River College, Cosumnes River College and Folsom Lake College. Folsom Lake College has an extension in Rancho Cordova (10378 Rockingham Drive) that conveniently offers classes during the day and in the evening for residents that find the Rancho Cordova more easily accessible.
