Rancho Cordova authorities are asking for help from the public in finding two missing teenage girls last seen Thursday, January 29 with their infant children, according to Sacramento County sheriff investigators. Detectives believe the girls are together.
Shaylee, 14, and Kayla, 16, were last seen walking away from their Queenwood Drive home with their infants around 8 a.m. Thursday morning, Sacramento County sheriff’s Sgt. Tim Curran said.
The girls were pushing separate baby strollers carrying Shaylee’s 9-month-old baby boy and Kayla’s 2-month-old baby girl. Curran said Shaylee and Kayla are categorized as at-risk due to their ages and the absence of adult supervision assisting them with the care of their babies.
Detectives believe the girls may have traveled to the Fresno area with a male friend in a white 4-door compact sedan.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the girls or their babies is asked to call the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department at 916-874-5115.
