Pet of the Week

Bright Eyes:

Bright Eyes’ name is fitting because of her huge, round eyes that make her as cute as a doll. Every time you look at her you can’t help but smile. She wants to show off and make you proud of her. Bright Eyes would be perfect for a senior who wants a quiet companion. She needs a calm environment where routine is the order of the day. She’s close to 2 years old, very dainty and sweet. She could live with another cat as long as his/her personality was aloof. Living with a dog would probably be an unfortunate roommate situation for Bright Eyes because she is easily intimidated but it would really depend on the dog. Bright Eyes will only get sweeter with time. She was returned after a year with her original family who abruptly brought her back due to a “lifestyle” change. It was traumatic for her but she is rallying. Bright Eyes is up to date on her shots, has tested negative for FELV/FIV, has been spayed, treated for fleas and worms, and has been micro-chipped. Her adoption includes a free office visit at a participating veterinarian and a 4-pound bag of science diet food. If you can offer her the security and loving reassurance she needs please contact the LAPCATS, a non-profit support group of the Sacramento County Animal Shelter, at lapcatsrescue@comcast.net or call 916-247-(CATS) 2287.
